CAIRO – 8 December 2021: The Cultural Development Fund Sector, in cooperation with the General Authority for Culture Palaces, is organizing a concert for Sheikh Mahmoud al-Tohamy and his band, on December 10 at 7 p.m. in Al-Salam neighborhood in Wadi Al-Allaqi, West Aswan.
The program of the concert includes a set of recitations sung by Tohamy.
This comes as per Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem’s instructions to hold a number of cultural and artistic events in Al-Salam neighborhood in Wadi Al-Allaqi, for those affected by the floods in Aswan Governorate.
Abdel Dayem emphasized that the Ministry of Culture continues its endeavors to implement the strategy of cultural justice across the country.
Over the thirty-two years since its establishment in 1989, the Cultural Development Fund sector has been able to play an influential role in supporting and developing cultural life in Egypt.
The sector also works to discover young talents in various governorates, support them, and put them on the path of excellence and creativity.
