Entrepreneur and social media influencer TheRealMood releases new single ‘2Moods’
What do you do when you’ve spent your life making and creating businesses and launching entrepreneurial ventures that succeed across the world?
When you’ve run businesses with a turnover of US$2.1 billion and launched the leading talent management company in the UAE?
Well, if you’re TheRealMood AKA Mahmoud Shehada, Palestinian/Canadian native based in Dubai, you turn to your first love.
Music.
After years of creating behind the scenes, TheRealMood burst onto the scene with his debut release ‘Mind Right’ before backing that up with his new single ‘2Moods.’
The inspiration for his music comes from battles with mental health and a realisation that you can be more than just one thing: you don’t have to be defined by just one aspect of your life.
‘‘2 Moods’ reflects a conversation between myself and myself conflicted over releasing music,’ says Mahmoud.
And that conflict can be seen in his journey until today. Despite recording more than 50 tracks over the past decade, he’s only felt able to embrace his musical alter-ego since the pandemic hit. Life is to be lived, in other words, and artists should embrace what they do and share it with the world.
There’s no conflict in the music, however.
‘2Moods’ is straight-up classic hip hop. There’s no mumble rap, no drill percussion, no ‘bling bling’ lyrics.
Instead, ‘2Moods’ is a throwback to MCs like Tupac, early Eminem and Nas. His supremely chilled delivery is backed up by a simple but elegant backing trap that lets his bars breathe.
And with more to come including collaborations with US and Canadian artists - and a world-record attempt (watch this space!), TheRealMood is here for good.
About TheRealMood
Mahmoud Shehada is a Palestinian/Canadian content creator who decided to change his career trajectory from that of a serial entrepreneur to one that focuses on the development of music and content.
Having spent the beginning of his professional life founding businesses’, Mahmoud put music to the side in order to ensure the success of his entrepreneurial ventures.
TheRealMood however, never forgot about his true passion which is content creation.
Having taken inspiration from artists such as Tupac Shakur, Eminem and Nas, his musical journey began in his makeshift bedroom studio back in 2007 during his high school years.
Five years later, TheRealMood found himself listening to the likes of Drake, J Cole and Mac Miller who all inspired the songs that he produced in Toronto during 2012. Despite having recorded over 50 tracks, he never felt inclined to release any to the public as he was still exploring his approach to the art.
After much anticipation, Mahmoud is excited to have released his first track “Mind Right” available on all streaming platforms in 2021.
“Mind Right” is only the beginning of a very exciting music career, where we plan on hearing several of the singles being released in the coming months. All of TheRealMood’s tracks are mixed and mastered in Soundstruck Studios based in Dubai.
Along with his up and coming music, TheRealMood has a great social media following on TikTok and Instagram. His live streams often bring a significant amount of traction which is then generated to further following and listens to his track.
