CAIRO – 4 November 2021: The activities of the 2nd Aswan Book Fair will be launched from November 4 to 12 at the Fawzy Fawzy Theater, under the auspices of Egypt’s Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem and Governor of Aswan Ashraf Attia.
On the sidelines of the book fair, a group of cultural and artistic events will be held, in addition to poetry evenings, a cultural salon, and various artistic performances.
In a different context, prominent Egyptian star Afaf Radi will perform a concert in Bibliotheca Alexandrina at 8 p.m. During the concert, Radi will perform numerous songs. The concert will be held within the 30th Arab Music Festival.
Furthermore, The National Center for Translation concludes the training workshop for literary translation from the Russian language. The workshop aims to develop the trainees’ ability to translate and enrich their knowledge through exercises and interactive discussions between the trainer and trainees, in addition to the translation of a number of diverse literary texts.
Last but not least, the Egyptian Foundation for Development and Friendship among Peoples, in cooperation with the General Union of African Students in Egypt, will hold a symposium entitled “African languages: The Road to Africa” in the Civilization Cinema Hall at the Cairo Opera House.
