Bibliotheca Alexandrina holds free workshop to discover singing talents during November

CAIRO – 4 November 2021: The Bibliotheca Alexandrina, in cooperation with the General Authority for Cultural Palaces, is organizing a free workshop to discover young talents in singing and playing musical instruments during the month of November, at Al-Sennari Archaeological House.

The workshop focuses on discovering the youth talented in singing and playing different musical instruments, and guiding them towards learning the basics properly, as well as honing their skills, through a set of innovative steps.

The workshop is divided into two parts: The first section focuses on discovering talented singers from the age of 16 to 45 years, and the second section focuses on discovering talented people in playing musical instruments from the age of 10 to 50 years.

Tests to discover talented singers will be held on November 9 and November 16, while tests of those talented in playing instruments will be held on November 23 and November 30, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The workshop aims to encourage art, enhance the significant role played by music in society, and encourage youth to benefit from their talents and skills,  while applying the principle of equal opportunities for all.
