CAIRO – 3 November 2021: Four concerts will be held on November 5, in Cairo and Alexandria, as part of the 30th Arab Music Festival.
The Lebanese star Assi el-Hellani, accompanied by El-Hefny Ensemble, led by Maestro Ahmed Amer, will perform a selection of his own works, in addition to a number of old Tarab songs at 8 p.m. at Cairo Opera House’s Fountain Theater.
This will be preceded by the performances of singer Marwa Nagi and the Iraqi Qanun player Furat Qaddouri.
Moreover, a children and youth choir from the Talent Development Center will present a selection of Arabic songs at 7 p.m. on the Outdoor Stage.
At 8 p.m. at Al-Gomhoria Theater, a concert will be performed by the Religious Chanting Ensemble, who will present a selection of spiritual invocations.
Simultaneously, the Bibliotheca Alexandrina will host a concert for the Lebanese star Marwan Khoury, accompanied by the orchestra led by Maestro Mustafa Helmy, preceded by a performance of Iraqi singers Hammam Ibrahim and Rehab Mutawa.
Moreover, the conference held on the sidelines of the festival discusses the theme of the specificity of performance on Arab musical instruments at 10 a.m., with the participation of numerous prominent personalities from various Arab countries.
