Founding edition of Egypt’s Contemporary Art Salon launches on Nov. 3

CAIRO – 3 November 2021: The founding edition of the Contemporary Art Salon, held under the title "Post Concept", will launch on November 3 at 6 p.m. at the Palace of Arts in Cairo Opera House.

The inaugural ceremony will be launched in the presence of Egypt’s Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem, Head of the Plastic Arts Sector Khaled Sorour, members of the Organizing Committee, participating artists, deans and professors of art faculties, and a number of journalists and media professionals.

Head of the Plastic Arts Sector Khaled Sorour said that this new artistic event ambitiously aims at enriching the fine art scene.

Sorour added that the establishment of the Contemporary Art Salon will give Egyptian artists an additional space to enhance the role of a qualitative artistic activity that embraces freedom and imagination and allows the use of contemporary artistic techniques.

Twenty-five artists will participate in this event.
