Al-Ghoury Dome Creativity Center to host Reda Folklore Troupe show on October 28

CAIRO – 27 October 2021: On October 28 at 7:30 p.m., Al-Ghoury Dome Creativity Center will host a show for Reda Folklore Troupe, in cooperation with the Artistic House of Folk and Performing Arts.

It is worth noting that Reda Troupe was founded by artist Mahmoud Reda in association with the first dancer, choreographer and music composer of the troupe Ali Reda and its first female dancer Farida Fahmy, with the support of engineering professor Hassan Fahmy. The troupe’s first performance was held in August 1959. 

In 1961, the troupe became state-owned and was managed by the brothers Mahmoud and Ali Reda. Music composer Ali Ismail formed an orchestra for the band under his leadership and composed the band’s most famous music pieces.
