CAIRO – 24 October 2021: Egyptian archaeologist Zahi Hawass met with many prominent artists from all over the world at the Great Sphinx.
The artists attended Art d’Egypt exhibition “Forever is Now” held at the Giza Pyramids area. The exhibition mixes contemporary art with the ancient Egyptian civilization.
On his official Facebook page, Hawass stated that he met with many important personalities, including the Russian artist Alexander Ponomarev, the French artist JR, the American artist Pharrell Williams, and Lorenzo Quinn, son of the famous actor Anthony Quinn. Hawass was keen to acquaint them with some of the archaeological discoveries he made.

International artists participating in the exhibition include Russian artist Alexander Ponomarev, American artist Gisela Colon, Brazilian artist Huao Trevisan, French artist JR, Italian artist Lorenzo Quinn, Egyptian artist Moataz Nasr, and Egyptian artist residing in Los Angeles Sherine Gerges. This is in addition to British artists Schuster and Mosley, and Stephen, and Saudi artist Prince Sultan bin Fahd.
The exhibition will run from October 21 to November 7, under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and UNESCO.
