Janobian Band to perform free concert in Al-Sinnari Archaeological House on October 20

CAIRO – 19 October 2021: On October 20 at 8 p.m., the Bibliotheca Alexandrina is organizing an artistic and heritage concert open to the public for the Janobian Band at Al-Sinnari Archaeological House.

The concert’s program includes a variety of songs and melodies stemming from the Egyptian heritage, and have a distinctive southern character with their rhythms.

It is noteworthy that the Janobian Band was founded in 2012 by singer Basil Saleh and poet Ahmed Halabi. In their songs, the band relies on the Upper Egyptian heritage, which includes many folk arts and music.
