CAIRO – 18 October 2021: The Egyptian archaeological mission working under the Tawfiq Andraus Palace, adjacent to the Luxor Temple, succeeded in uncovering a number of antiquities from the Byzantine era.

This was stated by Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities Mustafa Waziri, who also pointed out that this discovery comes as part of a series of discoveries that were made at the site, where a group of Roman bronze coins, a part of a wall from the Roman era and an old storehouse were previously discovered.

Waziri added that excavations are currently ongoing at the site.
