CAIRO – 5 October 2021: To complement the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities' efforts to train and raise the efficiency of the human element working in the tourism sector, especially those directly dealing with tourists, the ministry has completed the training of 68 bazaar owners in the city of Esna, Luxor Governorate.
The two-day training program discussed a set of sales skills, dealing with visitors, and pricing.
For her part, Advisor to the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for Training Affairs Suha Bahgat indicated that this training took place within the “Creating Ambassadors” program, which is being implemented with the funding of the Bank of Alexandria and the implementation of the Rythm Training Foundation accredited by the Institute of Hospitality in the United Kingdom.
Bahgat also pointed out that the "Creating Ambassadors" program aims to raise tourism awareness among workers in tourist and hotel establishments, museums and archaeological sites, and familiarize them with the correct behaviors that would make them true ambassadors of the country while dealing with the visitors.
It is worth mentioning that the ministry had organized in September an awareness seminar for the owners of bazaars and those who deal with tourists in the city of Esna, Luxor Governorate, to raise their awareness of the suitable ways to provide tourism services and appropriately deal with visitors.
