CAIRO - 5 October 2021: Award-winning director and screenwriter behind mind-bending modern classics such as 'Black Swan'. ‘Requim for a Dream’ and 'mother!' Darren Aronofsky will be giving a masterclass at the fifth edition of El Gouna Film Festival
His debut feature film ‘Pi’ premiered at Sundance Film Festival, winning “Best Director”.
He then released his critically acclaimed sophomore film ‘Requiem For A Dream’ starring Jared Leto and Ellen Burstyn. The film was critically acclaimed for its unique direction.
Aronofsky’s work is noted for its surrealism and melodramatic elements, securing him an Academy Award nomination for Best Director for “Black Swan” starring Natalie Portman, who won a Best Actress Academy Award for her performance.
