Beirut International Awards Festival opening Sunday

CAIRO – 9 July 2017: Beirut International Awards Festival honors personalities from different fields such as art, politics, culture, music, finance and humanitarian services, starting Sunday at 6:30 Beirut time.

The festival introduces unique personalities and figures that left a special or unique mark in the world.

“BIAF always honors talented artists; this is the 8th year for BIAF,’’ said BIAF President Michael Daher.

The event started in 2010, and continues to honor unique personalities along eight years of the competition.

The event always takes place in the Yacht Club Hotel Zaitunay Bay, Beirut.
On the day of the event, Prime Minister Saad Hariri holds a reception for all BIAF honorees and committee members. BIAF's president, Daher presented a trophy this year to the prime minister to honor his great contributions to the flourishing of Lebanon.

This year the festival will honor Waheed Hamed, the Egyptian author and renowned script writer, among the honorees.

Nawal el-Zoghbi is going to perform in the festival with her dashing voice.
