Cultural, artistic events of the day

CAIRO – 12 September 2021: On September 12, numerous cultural and artistic events will take place.

The second batch of "Cinema between Your Hands" workshops in Tanta will launch. The workshops provide an opportunity for talented people to acquire skills in this field and express themselves, in addition to strengthening their national identity and highlighting the uniqueness of the Egyptian civilization.

Furthermore, the activities of the 1st Alexandria Francophone Film Festival will launch on the stage of Sayed Darwish Theater in Alexandria, and will run until September 16, under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture.

The Fourth Port Said Book Fair will also hold the Short Story Symposium entitled "Readings and Testimonies".

Additionally, the retrospective exhibition of the late potter Gamal Hanafi will be inaugurated by Head of the Plastic Arts Sector Khaled Sorour at 7 p.m. The works will be displayed in all halls of Al-Gezira Center for Arts, and the exhibition is scheduled to run until September 26.

The Cultural Salon at Fayoum Governorate Club is organizing a cultural evening at the Governorate’s Sports Club, entitled “The Night of Poetry and Poets,”  and hosting a number of writers, intellectuals, poets and a group of Fayoumi educators. Various lyrical and artistic performances will also be presented.
