Spanish artist Alberto Reguera to participate in ‘Cairo International Art District’ project on Sept. 15

CAIRO – 2 September 2021: Spanish artist Alberto Reguera and curator Lucia Solinger will visit Egypt from September 5-20 to participate in the art project "Cairo International Art District", which will be held in downtown Cairo from September 15 to October 27.

The Spanish artist Alberto Reguera will make a 3D painting and will enlarge it after several days on canvas to enhance the interaction between the artwork and the audience. He will present an artistic allegorical simulation of the physical deterioration of the stones of ancient Egyptian monuments due to climate change.

Afterwards, the Spanish artist will give a presentation on the aforementioned three-dimensional painting. He will also make a free artistic conception of the geographical course of the Nile River.

Reguera will simulate in his abstract painting an imagined transformation of a rock into  liquid that freely spreads over the large canvas.
