4th Port Said Book Fair to launch on September 6

CAIRO – 30 August 2021: The General Egyptian Book Organization is preparing to launch the activities of the Fourth Port Said Book Fair from September 6 to 17, in front of the Sharq District headquarters.

Subscription is now open to publishers wishing to participate.

In view of the precautionary measures under the current circumstances and in order not to prevent exhibitions from being held again, it was decided that the exhibition should be held in a pergola accommodating a maximum of three publishing houses, with a rental value of L.E. 12,600 including all equipment.

The General Egyptian Book Organization had developed a plan to organize a group of book fairs in the various regions of Egypt from north to south, within the initiative “Your Culture is Your Book” launched by the organization in the previous edition of the Cairo International Book Fair.

The initiative relies on discounted books, whose prices range from L.E. 1 to L.E. 20, to encourage citizens to purchase books and promote the value of reading and knowledge.

The General Egyptian Book Organization participates in publishing many titles that are considered treasures in various fields, and the visitor can obtain them at a very low price.

These book fairs aim to achieve the principle of cultural justice, and to deliver the book to citizens regardless of their location in order to raise awareness, confront dark ideologies, and spread knowledge and enlightenment among all.
