"6 Bab Sharq" holds discussion sessions "In the Love of Naguib Mahfouz" on September 4

CAIRO – 29 August 2021: The project (6 Bab Sharq) of the German Goethe Institute is holding a program entitled “In the Love of Naguib Mahfouz: Nights of Reading and Discussion Sessions.”

It is scheduled to start on September 4 and end on November 20.

The program aims to provide participants with critical reading tools using Mahfouz's works, focusing on analyzing his writings and reflecting this on literary criticism theories.

The program traces the structure of Naguib Mahfouz’s writing style, its development, and its transition from the classical novel  that is influenced by the European classical standards, to the autobiographical novel.
