CAIRO – 25 August 2021: Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Moustafa El-Feki received on August 25 a delegation from the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA), to discuss ways of cooperation between the two sides in current and future projects.
Feki affirmed, according to today's statement, the Bibliotheca Alexandrina's keenness to provide support and cooperation for the Japanese International Cooperation Authority’s projects in Egypt, most importantly the project to establish the Grand Egyptian Museum.
The delegation members drew attention to the role of the Japan International Cooperation Agency in the project to establish the Grand Egyptian Museum by providing technical support and experiences related to museums, exhibitions, excavations and restoration.
The delegation members stressed that this project is the highlight of the Egyptian-Japanese cooperation in the tourism and antiquities sector, stressing their keenness to cooperate with the Bibliotheca Alexandrina in this regard.
At the end of the meeting, Feki confirmed that the Bibliotheca Alexandrina is keen to provide full support to the authority in the projects it implements in Egypt.
