Al-Sennari House to hold ‘Paper Forming art' workshop for children on Aug. 24

CAIRO – 24 August 2021: The archaeological Al-Sennari House will hold an art workshop for children entitled “Paper Forming” on August 24 at 2 p.m.

The workshop targets children from 7 to 10 years old. During the workshop, plastic artist Asmaa Abdel Alim will teach children how to transform paper into two- or three-dimensional objects that have specific shapes.

The workshop also aims to teach children how to reuse old materials to create new things, and to develop their creativity and innovation by learning about the art of paper formation or quilling, which is rooted in the ancient Egyptian civilization.

Al-Sennari House is affiliated with the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, headed by Mostafa El-Feki, and it presents many cultural and artistic activities and events, educational seminars, plastic art exhibitions, and art workshops.
