CAIRO – 28 July 2021: Egypt’s Supreme Council of Culture is organizing a symposium entitled “Egypt – Cyprus Cultural Relations” on July 28 at 6 p.m. within the “Cultural Relations” initiative launched by Egypt’s Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem.
Abdel Dayem stated that the symposium comes in light of Egypt’s and Cyprus’ keenness to support and enhance the various aspects of cooperation between them. The minister pointed out that the Cultural Relations initiative highlights the cultural aspects of the countries of the world that have friendship ties with Egypt.
Minister Abdel Dayem also emphasized that this initiative is one of the distinctive models of partnership between national state institutions. The initiative is carried out in coordination between the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry Foreign Affairs.
Moreover, the Foreign Cultural Relations Sector, in cooperation with a number of Egyptian and Russian authorities, is organizing a symposium dealing with the impact of Russian literature on Egyptian literature and vice versa, within the framework of the activities of the Egyptian-Russian Year of Humanitarian Exchange 2021-2022, prepared by the Egyptian Ministry of Culture.
