Goethe Institute in Cairo to organize four artistic discussions from July 24-28

CAIRO – 22 July 2021: The Goethe Institute in Cairo is organizing four artistic discussions from July 24 to July 28, with artists who completed their digital art residency at the beginning of this month. It will be broadcast on the Institute's Facebook page.

Eight Egyptian and German artists participated in the digital residencies, which lasted for three months, during which they worked on developing their projects. They had the opportunity to enrich their work by communicating with experts in their diverse artistic fields.

The digital residency program is a project of the Goethe-Institut that aims to provide the opportunity for emerging artists and contemporary artists from diverse artistic backgrounds to receive support for their artistic projects and ideas that depend in one way or another on a digital element, either in its creation or the way it is presented and distributed, where digital technology has become a pivotal existence in general, and within the cultural scene in particular. It is embraced by audiences accustomed to understanding and consuming digital content, and enjoying it.
