CAIRO – 22 July 2021: Egypt’s Al-Sennari House, affiliated with the Cultural Communication Sector at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, is organizing an artistic and heritage concert, open to the public free-of-charge, for the artist Rabea Zein, under the title “Al-Serah Al-Helaleyah” on July 22 at 8 p.m.
The concert includes a selection of songs from Al-Serah Al-Helaleyah, a long folklore epic that covers a great historical stage in the life of the Bani Hilal tribe. The number of its verses is about one million verses that were narrated in Egypt and Upper Egypt in particular
Moreover, the concert comes, according to the organizers, in light of the interest in reviving folklore to strengthen ties between the past, present and future, activate social cohesion and help promote peace among all.
