Important world events:

 

 

1798 - The defeat of the Mamluk army led by Murad Bey in the Battle of Imbaba, during the French campaign against Egypt. Napoleon Bonaparte led the French side in this battle.

 

 

 

1960 - Egyptian television began broadcasting. The duration of the broadcast was five hours per day.

 

 

 

1969 - US astronaut Neil Armstrong reaches the surface of the moon, becoming the first person to reach it.

 

 

 

1970 – Work on Egypt’s High Dam ends after 11 years of construction.

 

 

 

2019 - "Avengers: Endgame" breaks the record and becomes the highest-grossing movie in history, displacing “Avatar” after it topped the list for ten years.
