CAIRO – 7 July 2021: Egypt’s Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities announced that 28 new nationalities have been added to the 46 nationalities included in the system for obtaining an e-tourist visa, bringing the total number of nationalities that can obtain an e-visa to 74 nationalities from around the world.
This comes within the framework of the efforts exerted by the Egyptian state to push more inbound tourism to Egypt by facilitating the procedures for obtaining a tourist visa.
For her part, Deputy Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for Tourism Affairs Ghada Shalaby indicated that the modernization of this system comes 1 year after Egypt had resumed the incoming tourism movement on July 1, 2020, pointing out that this update will encourage many tourists of different nationalities to visit Egypt.
She explained that the portal for obtaining an e-tourist visa is supported in eight languages and answers the various inquiries of tourists. It also provides a secure electronic payment feature to pay the value of the tourist visa, which is $25 for a single entry or $60 for multiple entries.
