Egypt’s archaeologist Zahi Hawass meets tennis champion Anwar el-Kamouni at Great Giza Pyramids

CAIRO – 6 July 2021: Egyptian archaeologist Zahi Hawass met with the world tennis champion Anwar el-Kamouni at the Great Giza Pyramids.

Hawass said that El-Kamouny suffered a very serious disease that could easily end a person’s life, but hope made him work miracles and return to the world rankings.

Moreover, Hawass further noted that the Great Pyramids of Giza and the entire ancient Egyptian civilization was based on the power of hope.

Also, Hawass participated in a speech from the Pyramids of Giza as part of the ‘Hope Givers’ Campaign, which was founded by Anwar El-Kamouni.

Hawass' speech will be broadcast at the opening of the Hope Givers Campaign, which will be inaugurated in October in Geneva, Switzerland. The campaign’s activities will be held in more than ten European and Arab countries, including Switzerland, France, Canada, Italy and Mexico, and will end in Egypt at the end of November.

Hawass pointed out that the purpose of this campaign is to spread hope to all patients around the world and to all those who have lost it, helping others overcome their ordeals, and assuring them that the impossible is just an illusion.
