CAIRO - 6 July 2021: Egyptian megastar Sherihan comeback play “Coco Chanel” will be screened for the 1st time on Shahid VIP platform on July 20.
Sherihan portrays the character of the famed designer Coco Chanel in the play that is written by Medhat El Adl and directed by Hady el Bagoury.
After more than 20 years, the iconic and legendary Sherihan makes the ultimate comeback with an ad for Vodafone Egypt that was screened in Ramadan 2021.
The ad took the social media by the storm bringing nostalgic feels to the times when Sherihan lead the show every Ramadan with her distinctive Fawazeer.
The ad, as perceived by many on social media, portrays Sherihan’s journey that was filled with ups and down.
The ad takes us through her beginnings with her impressive ‘Alf Leila w Leila’, translating as ‘One Thousand and One Nights’, which is her first ‘Fawazeer’ back in 1985, to her car accident followed by years struggling with cancer.
Through the ad Sherihan sends a message of resilience and that everyone can be a hero of their own story. It reminds us that no matter what we pass through, it is in our will to always come back strong again.
Our all time heartthrob signed the contract with the telecommunication company which worth 2 millions $.
This comeback was the dream of the great artist fans who are eagerly to see her after all these years.
Sherihan put her distinctive mark in Ramadan for decades through her catchy and glamorous Fawazir ( riddles).
Her first fawazir show was in 1986 named “Alf Leila we Leila” based on tales taken the Arabian Nights; then Fawazir ‘’Hawl El Alam" (Around the World) and finally ‘’Hagat we mehtagat ‘’ (Needs and Things) in 1994.
In 2019, Turki Al-Sheikh, chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Entertainment in Saudi Arabia signed a contract with Al-Adl Group represented in producer Gamal al-Adl to present six performances for families.
