Talented Sinai child Ali Hassan and his sister during their trip to Luxor - Min. of Tourism & Antiquities
CAIRO – 4 July 2021: The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, represented by the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, organized a week-long tourist awareness trip to Luxor for Sinai's Ali Hassan, who won the award of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities on the 32nd anniversary of the liberation of Taba.
Ali,10, was granted the award for his skill in reciting poetry during the celebration despite his young age.
This trip comes within the framework of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities' keenness to encourage young Egyptian talents, raise their archaeological awareness, and introduce them to Egypt's tourism potential and ancient civilization.
Head of the Internal Tourism Sector at the authority Iman Mahmoud, explained that the Ali Hassan was accompanied by his sister on the trip, which included visiting all the archaeological sites in Luxor, such as the temples of Luxor, Karnak, Habu, Ramesseum, and Hatshepsut, as well as the tombs of the Valley of the Kings on the West Bank, and the Mummification and Luxor Museums. They also took a Nile cruise to enjoy the beautiful nature of Luxor.
Mahmoud added that during the trip, the child expressed his fascination with the enormity of the temples and statues and the beauty of the artifacts. He was also amazed at the ingenuity of the ancient Egyptians in sculpting.
It is worth noting that the child’s second hobby after reciting poetry is drawing.
During the trip, Ali was keen to take photos with his sister in all the sites and museums he visited to record their trip.
The child Ali Hassan thanked Egypt’s Minister of Tourism & Antiquities Khaled el-Enani for giving him and his sister the opportunity to visit the city of Luxor, which he had always dreamed of seeing its unique monuments.
