CAIRO – 30 June 2021: Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem inaugurated the activities of the 52nd Cairo International Book Fair, at Egypt International Exhibitions Center in the Fifth Settlement district.

 

 

 

The book fair runs until July 15, under the slogan "Reading is Life."

 

 

 

The 52nd Cairo International Book Fair is held under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. It is considered the largest cultural gathering in the world, with 1218 Arab and foreign publishers from 25 countries participating.

 

 

 

The 52nd Cairo International Book Fair will launch new initiatives, including “Your Culture Is Your Book”, in addition to numerous virtual activities that will be implemented through the electronic platform of the book fair.

 

 

 

The book fair will receive visitors starting July 1 free-of-charge from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. except for Fridays where the operating hours are from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m.

 

 

 

During the 52nd edition of the book fair, 25 countries from four continents will participate, including seven African countries, 12 Asian countries, five European countries, in addition to USA.

 

 

 

The 52nd Cairo International Book Fair will be held in four halls at the Egypt International Exhibitions Center on a total area of 40,000 square meters and hosts 756 pavilions. The number of publishers, as well as Egyptian and foreign official publishing entities and agencies has reached 1218, including 823 publishers and 395 agencies.
