CAIRO – 29 June 2021: “Egypt is not a historical country. Egypt came before history.” This is how the Egyptian Nobel laureate, writer Naguib Mahfouz, expressed the status of Egyptian civilization and its progress.
Those words also describe the Egyptian civilization's influence on humanity, through the sciences and secrets that are constantly revealed, making it the focus of attention of the whole world.

The ancient Egyptian artifacts are displayed in numerous museums nationwide. Restorers working in the Grand Egyptian Museum keep going for long hours without getting tired of examining, studying, and applying the latest scientific techniques in restoration and of course without tampering with the originality of the piece they are working on.
If the ancient Egyptians still dazzle the world with their ingenuity, their descendants can once more astonish the world and obtain praise and appreciation from various international institutions for their hard work and perseverance in preserving human heritage, bringing back more than 50,000 artifacts to life.
The aforementioned artifacts include the collection of the Golden King Tutankhamun. The Golden king’s artifacts amount to 5600 pieces and they are set to be displayed altogether in one place for the first.
The museum's restoration center includes 17 specialized laboratories. There is a wood restoration laboratory, an organic antiquities laboratory, and an inorganic antiquities laboratory. Some of the antiquities laboratories are specialized to restore pieces with a weight of approximately 250 kilograms, while others are specialized for pieces with different specifications.
