CAIRO – 22 June 2021: Director of the Cervantes Institutes in Egypt (Spanish Cultural Center), Luis Javier Ruiz, stressed that Egypt represents a focal point at the global level and for Spain in particular, noting that the Egyptian culture is rich and very important at the international level.

He pointed out that there are many commonalities between the Egyptian and Spanish people, including the facial features and culture, adding, "It is difficult to differentiate between the Egyptians and the Spanish, as they are similar."
Also, Ruiz noted that the Alexandrian audience has a special taste for arts, culture and theater, adding that there is a distinguished cooperation with Sayed Darwish Theatre, describing it as one of the most beautiful places he has ever seen.
