CAIRO – 6 June 2021: On June 6, many important events took place.

 

Important world events: 

 

1933 - King Fouad inaugurates the Khedive Ismail Bridge (which was later named Qasr El-Nil).

 

 

1984 - The Indian army stormed the Golden Temple in Amritsar, the holiest of Sikhs' sanctuaries, to cleanse it of rebels who had fled to it in an operation known as the Blue Star, which led to Sikh revenge four months later with the assassination of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

 

 

2015 - Spanish club Barcelona wins the 2015 European Champions League after defeating Italian Juventus 3-1 in the final held in Berlin.
