CAIRO – 23 May 2021: The activities of the 30th Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, organized by the Abu Dhabi Center for the Arabic Language at the Department of Culture and Tourism, kicks off on May 23.
The book fair will run until May 29 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center.
More than 889 exhibitors will participate in this edition, either by attendance or virtually, including more than 662 international and 227 local exhibitors from more than 46 countries from around the world.
Germany is the guest of honor in both the 30th and 31st edition of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair.
The book fair will also host 315 guests and speakers, in addition to more than 230 sessions that come within a varied program created in partnership with more than 20 local and international cultural institutions to organize cultural, professional, educational and artistic activities.
Moreover, the book fair will witness the launch of the first virtual platform for publishers to exchange copyrights in the Arab region, while providing a comprehensive package of incentive benefits for publishers and authors alike.
Furthermore, the 30th edition of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair will provide half a million books in various fields, as this edition of the book fair is considered the largest to support publishers since the fair’s establishment.
Installing the national and foreign pavilions participating in the exhibition has been completed, and indicative signs of precautionary measures to limit the spread of COVID-19 have been set in all corridors, with the aim of preserving the health and safety of the organizers, exhibitors and visitors.
