Artistic events of the day

CAIRO – 29 April 2021: On April 29 at 9 p.m., the House of Arab Singing (Prince Beshtak Palace) is hosting a musical evening presented by artist Saeed Othman and the Shumu Band, where they will present a distinguished collection of oriental songs with the participation of singer Rana Eissa.

This concert comes as part of the activities of the cultural and artistic program organized by the Cultural Development Fund sector during the holy month of Ramadan,  held while adhering to all precautionary measures set by the state to battle COVID-19.

Othman is the soloist of the National Ensemble of Arab Music at the Opera House. He has presented many successful concerts in many cultural centers.

Meanwhile, the artist and vocalist Amer El-Touni and the Mevlevi Ensemble return to present their distinguished Sufi evenings at Prince Taz Palace with a program that includes a selection of the most famous poems in Divine Love. A new exhibition will also open in cooperation with the National Library and Archives.

In the Manial area, the artist Mahmoud Darwish will present a new Tarab night at the Manesterly Palace, where he presents a collection of the most famous songs of the late legendary singer Abdel Halim Hafez.

For children, artist Khaled el-Marsfi presents a new "Toys and Caricature" workshop at the Child's Creativity Center.

Last but not least, Al-Horreya Creativity Center in Alexandria will host a concert for the Oud duo Ghassan al-Youssef and Dina Abdel Hamid.
