Google's doodle celebrating birth anniversary of late Nour El-Sherif - Google

CAIRO – 28 April 2021: Through a doodle, Google celebrated the birth anniversary of late Egyptian mega-star Nour El-Sherif on April 28, 1946.

 

 

 

El-Sherif passed away on August 11, 2015, leaving a prominent legacy in the world of cinema and drama as one of the most talented stars of his time. His last cinematic work was the film “Betawqeeet Al-Qahira” (Cairo Time), where he co-starred with Mervat Amin, Samir Sabry, Kinda Alloush, Sherif Ramzy, Aiten Amer, Karim Qassem and others. The film is written and directed by Amir Ramses.

 

 

 

In 1962, El-Sherif played a small role in the play “Backstreets”. At that time, he was preparing for the exams of the Institute of Dramatic Arts. He graduated first in his class in 1967.

 

 

 

His cinematic career began in 1966 when Adel Imam presented him to director Hassan Al-Imam. At the time, he participated in the film “Qasr Al-Shawq”, which was a turning point for him.

 

 

 

El-Sherif has presented hundreds of roles, and won dozens of awards for many of his films. He also starred in historical and social TV series presenting dozens of successful roles.
