Thai Ambassador to Egypt: Thai people are captivated by Ancient Egypt

CAIRO – 8 April 2021: Thailand's ambassador to Cairo said that everyone in Thailand knows the history and civilization of Egypt. “My seven-year-old daughter memorizes all the names of the ancient Egyptian gods. She knows Anubis and Isis,” said the Thai Ambassador.

“When Zahi Hawass visited Thailand to deliver a lecture on the secrets of the Egyptian civilization, this visit was the talk of the city in Bangkok at the time,” continued the Thai Ambassador to Egypt.

This was said during the eleventh evening in the series of the “Cultural Relations” Initiative, under the title "Egypt and Thailand", in celebration of the Egyptian-Thai cultural relations, organized by the Supreme Council of Culture.

The Thai ambassador explained that Thai society is not only captivated by the Egyptian culture and civilization, but also the median approach of Islam in Al-Azhar, especially the Thai Muslim community.
