7th Alexandria Short Film Festival to be held on April 3-8

CAIRO – 29 March 2021: The organizers of the 7th Alexandria Short Film Festival, which will be held from April 3 – 8, are preparing to announce all its details. The official page of the festival has recently released the seventh edition’s poster, which is the idea of Asmaa Khaled and designed by Salma Osama.

The poster’s idea revolves around the most famous god "Hercules" in the history of the Greeks, where the Greek and Roman ruins and origins lie in the depths of Abu Qir and the city of Heracleion, relative to the god Hercules.

Within days, the details the festival’s film program, the names of its jury committees, and other upcoming events will be announced. In its current edition, an animation competition has been added with the participation of nine films, all of which will be screened for the first time in Egypt. The festival also continues to support a special competition for students where 8 films will be screened for the first time in Egypt.

Alexandria Short Film Festival is a cinematic celebration held every year in Alexandria under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture. It aims to spread and support short films, and to exchange Arab cultures.
