Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation Board is pleased to announce that Orascom Construction has been selected to build the Magdi Yacoub Global Heart Centre at the 6th of October City in Cairo.
The 300-bed specialized cardiac centre will be built on 27 acres with a total land capacity of 36.5 acres, making it the largest specialized facility for cardiovascular treatment and research in the region.

The Magdi Yacoub Global Heart Centre- Cairo, upon completion will be offering free-of-charge cardiovascular services and will have a patient capacity of over 120,000 annually. It will host 5 operating rooms and 5 catherization laboratories including a hybrid room, a state-of-the-art imaging centre, a world-class 5000 square meter research and innovation laboratories, a 4000 square meter education and training facility, as well as an Emergency Department.
