CAIRO – 17 February 2021: The Cabinet's Information Center released on Wednesday an infograph indicating the rise in digital inclusion in the country.
According to Roland Berger's Digital Inclusion Index, Egypt ranked 50th in 2020 up from 52nd in 2017 scoring 60 on a scale from 0 to 100 instead of 52. As such, it has become third globally in terms of digital evolution coming after Mynamar and Vietnam.
Egypt moved forward in three indicators, and maintained the same performance in the fourth. Egypt scored 13 more points in terms of internet access, 11 more in terms of digital policies, and five more for individuals' ability to purchase electronic devices and internet services. Egypt maintained the same score in terms of ability to deal with digital technology.
