CAIRO – 10 February 2021: ElSewedy Electric for Trading & Distributing, a subsidiary of Elsewedy Electric, signed a new contract with Alexandria Petroleum Maintenance Co. Petromaint for LE 126 million.
The company clarified that the contract is to execute the sewage treatment plant Njih with the capacity of 6000m/3day in Al Sharqia governorate in Egypt.
It clarified that this comes as a part of the sustainable sanitation services in rural areas program (SRSSP) in Al Sharqia governorate.
“The scope of ElSewedy Electric for Trading & Distributing which represents approximately 50% of project’s value includes the designing, supplying, installation, implementation and operation support for the sewage treatment plant on turnkey basis,” it stated.
According to the company, the contract will be implemented over a 24-months period from the date of receiving the site.
In November, Elsewedy Electric for Trading & Distribution signed a new EPC contract worth $90 million with the Egyptian government for smart high way information traffic system.
The company clarified in a filing to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) that the execution duration is 18 months for ITS for-highway roads in Egypt including Traffic Management System (TMS) and toll collection system (TCS) in addition to the main control rooms in the ACUD, phase one includes six highway roads with total 1079 km.
It added that the roads are: Shoubra Banha freeway (40 Km), Cairo- Ismailia – Portsaid (195 Km), Cairo Alexandria (220 Km), Cairo Suez Desert Road (134 Km), Cairo Ain Sokhna Road (110 Km), and Cairo Regional Road (380 Km).
