CAIRO – 25 January 2021: The Ministry of Electricity has allocated L.E. 640 million to develop the electricity distribution network in Sinai Peninsula as part of the first phase of Egypt’s strategic plan to raise the quality of services for Sinai residents.

In the below lines, et highlights the ministry’s efforts in the peninsula:

The Ministry signed an agreement to build a power transformer station 220/66/22 KV. The construction of the station will be finalized within 14 months. The Ministry will construct Sheikh Zuwayed transformer station 66/22 KV and capacity (4 x 40 MVA) of the GIS isolated type, to be finalized within 12 months. The total investment for the first phase of the electrical supply required for the Sinai Peninsula is about 640 billion pounds, to be financed from the strategic plan of the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy.
