Foreign currencies steady Sunday, Euro down

CAIRO – 2 July 2017: The exchange rate of the U.S. dollar stabilized against the Egyptian pound in Sunday morning’s banking transactions.
Dollar exchange recorded an average buying rate of LE 18.043 and sold at LE 18.142 against the Egyptian pound.

The highest rate was recorded at the Commercial International Bank (CIB) at LE 18.05 for buying and LE 18.15 for selling.
Egypt’s two largest state-owned banks marked a U.S. dollar exchange rate of LE 17.95 for buying and LE 18.05 for selling.

After recorded a slight increase, the euro slumped to an average of LE 20.26 for buying and LE 20.55 for selling.
The Great British Pound (GBP) registered an average of LE 22.96 for buying and LE 23.4 for selling.

Arab currencies remained stable against the Egyptian pound as the Saudi Riyal marked LE 4.78 for buying and LE 4.81 for selling, and the Emirati Dirham recorded LE 4.91 for selling and LE 4.93 for buying.

The Kuwaiti dinar declined to LE 59.11 for buying and LE 59.52 for selling.
