CAIRO - 14 January 2021: Minister of Planning and Economic Development Hala el Saeed said the second batch of the second phase of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's grant for irregular workers will be disbursed as of January 17.

 
Saeed said the date was set during the cabinet's meeting on Thursday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli.
 
The grant is meant to support casual workers, who have been affected by the coronavirus economic repercussions.
 
The cabinet also approved a bill to make an additional appropriation worth EGP 2 billion in the current fiscal year's state budget for backing the national economy. (
