Egypt's central bank, EGX off Thursday for Eastern Christmas

CAIRO – 6 January 2021: Egypt’s banks and bourse will be off on Thursday, Jan. 7, as it marks the Eastern Christmas, according to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) and the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE)

Trading will be resumed resumed on Sunday, Jan. 10.

Orthodox Christians in central and eastern Europe and other parts of the world celebrate Christmas on January 7.
