CAIRO - 5 Januar 2021: Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) Tarek Amer said about 287 natural gas fuel stations will be established at a total cost of LE 5.330 billion.
During the first exhibition for the vehicles' clean energy conversion and replacement technologies, Amer said the national initiative for replacing and converting vehicles to operate with natural is meant to spreading and financing bi-fuel vehicles, financing the establishment of natural gas fuel stations and supporting the industrial private sector.
About LE 15 billion will be secured for financing the first stage of the initiative, noting that three stages will cost up to LE 60 billion.
