Benban Solar Park wins the Arab Government Excellence Award as the best project to develop infrastructure

CAIRO - 25 November 2020: The Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy said that ُEgypt's Benban Solar Park project won the Arab Government Excellence Award for the category of the Best Arab government Project to develop infrastructure.

This came during a virtual ceremony held to celebrate the winners of the first edition of the Arab Government Excellence Award.


The Arab Government Excellence Award honored winners in 15 individual and institutional categories.


Benban Solar Park is the largest solar energy project in the world and is expected to generate up to 1,600 megawatts of energy.
