Petroleum min.: 11 companies won gold exploration bid in Eastern Desert

CAIRO - 19 November 2020: Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tareq el Molla has announced that 11 mining companies won a gold ore exploration bid on an area of about 170 km2 in the Eastern Desert and the Red Sea.

The winning companies are Centamin, Barrick Gold Corporation, Lotus Gold Corporation, B2Gold Corporation, Red Sea Resources, AKH Gold, Alexander Nubia International, MEDAF Mining and Manufacturing Company, El Abadi Mining Company, North Africa Mining and Manufacturing Company and EBDAA for Gold Mine, Molla said in a statement on Thursday.
