CAIRO - 16 November 2020: Petroleum Minister Tarek el Mulla on Monday discussed with South Korean Ambassador to Egypt Hong Jin-wook the activities of South Korean firms specialized in carrying out oil projects as well ways of boosting partnership in the domains of oil, gas and petrochemicals.
The minister, in statements, highlighted Egypt's future oil projects which pose promising opportunities for the South Korean companies that succeeded in implementing and taking part in several petroleum projects throughout the past period.
The meeting reviewed the activities of GS Engineering and Construction Company (GS E&C), which participated in the establishment of the Egyptian Refining Company (ERC)'s refinery in Mostorod.
The South Korean ambassador, meanwhile, expressed his country's eagerness to strengthen economic and trade relations with Egypt as well the willingness of Korean firms to invest in various fields in Egypt, especially in the oil one, in light of the strategic relations binding the two countries and the time-honored cooperation.
