Sisi inagurates Musturud hydrocracking complex Sept. 27, 2020 - Youtube still
CAIRO - 27 September 2020: A $3.4M-hydrocracking complex with a yearly production of 4.7M tons of high-value petroleum products in Musturud city of Qalyubia, the Delta, was inaugurated Sunday by President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi.
The complex was established in cooperation with the private sector to produce high-octane gasoline and diesel with Euro 5 quality specifications, butane, jet fuel, naphtha, coal and other petroleum derivatives.
The major project is part of an ambitious program to enhance Egypt's refining industry to secure the local market needs of petroleum products. Musturud complex converts low-value diesel into high-quality petroleum products that includes hydrocracking units for diesel, charcoal, vcuum distillation, sulfur treatment and naphtha repair.
