CAIRO – 28 June 2017: The Egyptian Commercial Service Office (ECS) assisted in sealing $30 million in export contracts with Arab and foreign countries in May, ECS head Ahmed Antar said Wednesday.
“The top signed contracts are for exporting $7.5 million worth of marble to Poland, $3 million worth of car tires to the UAE, $1.3 billion worth of fruits and vegetables to Jordan and $9.4 million worth of phosphate to India,” Antar said in a statement.

Egypt also signed contracts for exporting $6 million worth of food industries to the UAE, $1.7 million worth of medical supplies to Zambia, $600,000 polypropylene to Spain and $500,000 and $200,000 worth of furniture to Algeria and Kenya respectively.

“Egypt's exports hit 5.1 billion dollars in the second quarter of the 016/2017 fiscal year up from 4.3 billion dollars over the same period in the previous year,” the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) said earlier this week.
