CAIRO, Aug 22 (MENA) - Petroleum Minister Tarek el Mulla discussed with Ukraine's national oil and gas company Naftogaz first deputy CEO Sergiy Pereloma the current oil and gas exploration and production activities in the Western Desert and southern Egypt.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the minister said the meeting tackled ways of boosting cooperation in the coming period given the Ukrainian company's willingness to take part in the projected oil and gas tenders.
The meeting, which grouped a Naftogaz delegation, took up means of boosting relations between Egypt and Ukraine in the oil and gas fields towards achieving mutual economic interests.
The talks highlighted Egypt's promising investment opportunities in oil and gas research and exploration domains, the statement added.
Naftogaz is the foreign partner of PetroSennan oil company which operates in the Western Desert. The operations of the state-owned Ukrainian company are carried out in South Wadi El Mahareeth and Wadi El Mahareeth concessions in the Eastern Desert.
